So others may live — serving the public 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

“Anyone can have a friend, but the one that would walk in a storm to find you is all you will ever need.”
Shannon L. Alder

The Fremont County Search and Rescue operates under the authority of the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office to search for, provide aid, and rescue (or recovery) of persons who are lost, stranded, in distress, or in imminent danger. The FCSAR is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization. The Unit is staffed 100% by non-paid volunteers who respond to calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

FCSAR does not charge for their services; however, they do depend on fundraisers, grants, and donations from individuals. The costs to support the unit include the purchase and maintenance of equipment, training, medical supplies, medical and technical equipment, and more. Your donation is tax-deductible.
